Part 1: Post your blog entry, 「私のかぞく」(Due 1pm on Monday, 3/30)　
Write about your family using ～ています. Include 1) where they live, 2) occupation, 3) marital status, 4) age, and 5) your family’s photos if possible.
*This is a class assignment and use the appropriate family term for a formal situation.

Part 2: Post your comments. (Due 1pm on Friday, 4/3)　
Go to JAPN102 class blog (http://uwrfnihongo102.blogspot.com) and read other people’s blog entries (at least one Japanese person’s entry AND one student’s entry). Then, post your comments. You need to post at least TWO comments.

私はけっこんしていて、ミネソタにすんでいます。男の子が一人います。４さいです。とても元気でかわいいですよ！おっとは日本人じゃありません。アメリカ人です。ハワイしゅっしんです。大学きょうじゅで、fine artsをAugsburg Collegeでおしえています。このしゃしんは日本のりょかん(Japanese style-inn)でとりました。いま、あさごはんを食べています。


それから、私のかぞくは日本のかごしまにすんでいます。父とは母は７１さいです。父は大学きょうじゅ(college professor)です。母はやくざいし(pharmacist)です。いもうともかごしまにすんでいます。いもうとはけっこんしていて、男の子が二人います。おとうとはかながわにすんでいます。mechanical engineer でイスズにつとめています。まだ、けっこんしていません。w(*0*)w

このしゃしんはこのなつ、うちにかえった時にとりました。

How's your spring break?

みなさん、はるやすみはどうですか？たのしいですか？

３月１３日は私のたんじょうびでした！日本のレストラン(Akita Sushi & Hibachi)でばんごはんを食べました。りょうりはまあまあでしたが、Hibachiはとてもおもしろかったです！


Akita Sushi & HibachiはWoodbury, MNにあります。２４ドルですし、さしみ、日本の食べものがall you can eatです！うどん、カレー、かつどんもありますよ！


ばんごはんのあと、うちでケーキを食べました。とてもおいしかったです！


それから、そとではなび(fireworks)をしました！！！ちょっとさむかったですが、とてもきれいでした。それにたのしかったです！たんじょうびのプレゼントにおさけとふくをもらいました。とてもたのしいたんじょうびでした！

Make up Blog assignment

As it is clearly written on the weekly schedules, the class blog is a weekly writing assignment for this class. Weekly blog consists of part 1 (blog entry) and part 2 (comment entry), and both parts are considered separate assignments. The blog assignment is graded: 2 points for a completed assignment, 1 point for an incomplete assignment, and 0 point for no assignment.

As it is clearly indicated on the course syllabus, late assignments are not accepted. However, I'll make an exception this time and hope you'll take advantage of this opportunity to review and catch up with this class. Post your missing blog/comment entries by 1pm on Monday, 3/23. For each complete Blog/comment entry, I'll give you 1 point instead of the 2 points for the completed assignment. The purpose of this arrangement is to encourage and support your
learning as opposed to penalizing you for not completing the assignments. w(*o*)w

Also, here is an extra point opportunity:
Make one complete blog entry during the spring break and you’ll receive 2 points. Topic for this blog entry is open. You can write about anything you want!

「私のすきなレストラン」

Part 1: Use 「私のすきなレストラン」on your textbook p. 280 as a good example, write about your favorite restaurant. Include 1) location of the restaurant, 2) description of the restaurant and/or food and/or people, 3) why you like the restaurant, and 4) restaurant’s photos or URL if possible.

Part 2: You don’t have to post your comments. But of course you’re welcome to do so (^0^)

Here is my example:

私のすきなレストランはマレーシアりょうりの"Peninsula Malaysian Cousine"　(http://www.peninsulamalaysiancuisine.com/home.html )です。ミネアポリスのダウンタウンのちょっと南、Eat Street (Nicollet Ave.)にあります。とても大きくてきれいなレストランです。ちゅうしゃじょうもあります。

私はマレーシアりょうりがすきです。からい食べものが大すきですから！！！！マレーシアりょうりはインドりょうり、ちゅうかりょうり、東南アジアりょうりなどのミックスで、おもしろいです。とてもおいしいですよ！Peninsulaで私はいつも、rotiを食べます。Rotiはおもしろいインドのパンです。さかなのりょうりもあります。

それから、smoothieもおいしいですよ！Smoothieにはblack tapioca pearlsがはいっています。私はよく、Mango smoothieかGreen Tea smoothieを飲みます。

Peninsulaはあまりやすくありませんが、とてもおいしいレストランです。みなさんもこんど、行ってください！
